HOT: Cyril Genot replaces Jeremy Van Horebeek in MXON!
Beta factory rider Jeremy Van Horebeek got into trouble with his team before the MX of Nations on September 25 and 26. Due to the limited time available for test work between the GPs, 'The Jerre' was forced to withdraw from Team Belgium! Fortunately, team manager Johan Boonen found a good solution in the person of Cyril Genot.
Genot should certainly be able to hold his own on sandy Mantova. The sympathetic Limburger finished 12th in one series during the Belgian GP in Limburg and rode really well in the sand races in the ADAC MX Masters. SDM-Corse Beta's Daniele Marchese, Jeremy Van Horebeek's team manager, spoke this interview already about the challenge his team faced in testing during the busy World Cup season.
This means that Belgium will end up with a young trio: Brent Van Doninck, Cyril Genot and Liam Everts. Only Van Doninck has previously competed in the Motocross of Nations. Click here for an overview of the participating MXoN teams.
