HOT: Cairoli out for MXGP Sardinia
A few days after Tony Cairoli announced that he would retire at the end of this season, his dream of a tenth world title seems to be over for good. This morning he had a serious crash during the MXGP time training. The Red Bull KTM rider lay down for a while and was taken to the medical center.
The exact extent of his injury is not yet known. It is clear that Cairoli will not start soon. In all likelihood it would be a shoulder injury. An initial scan would not have revealed a fracture, according to Davide De Carli, assistant team manager of Cairoli's team, during the MXGP TV broadcast.
