Herlings about conquering the redplate
With two clear victories and an injured Tim Gajser, Jeffrey Herlings managed to close his deficit in the title fight in one fell swoop. The 27-year-old from Brabander is the new leader in the MXGP after ten races. With only one point difference, 'The Bullet' will travel to the German Grand Prix in two weeks with the 'Redplate' on his KTM.
Jeffrey Herlings:
"It was a very good day for me, but to take the red plate like this feels strange. I know what it's like to have to ride injured and that was the case for Tim Gajser today. At the next Grand Prix I expect him to be completely fit again so that we can have great fights together again. It has been a long time since it has been this close in the title fight and I am looking forward to the next matches."
