F&H Kawasaki MX2 Racing back on the MXoN podium
Just like two years ago during the Monster Energy Motocross of Nations, an F&H Kawasaki MX2 Racing Team rider was on the podium. In September 2019 it was Adam Sterry who finished third with Team England. This year it is Roan van de Moosdijk who takes silver together with Jeffrey Herlings and Glenn Coldenhoff. The victory on the Mantova circuit goes to Team Italy, which manages to win this coveted title in front of its own audience.
Team Netherlands:
With 94-time GP winner Herlings and 5-time GP winner Coldenhoff, Roan forms a very strong team for the Nations Cup. The end of the season for many years, but since the coronavirus everything has changed in the world. Each country has three riders who compete in pairs during the heats. A win earns the country one point, second place earns two points and so on. The first heat does not go well for Team Netherlands because Coldenhoff crosses the finish line in 15th place after a crash in the first corner. Roan scores eighteenth place. Herlings wins the second heat while Roan crosses the finish line in 20th. In the last heat of the weekend, Herlings is the sole ruler and he wins while Coldenhoff crosses the finish line in third. With this result, Italy narrowly wins the rankings ahead of the Netherlands and England.
Team France:
Together with Tom Vialle and Benoit Paturel, Mathys Boisrame forms Team France. 23-year-old Mathys makes his debut on the KX450F and shows good things. He scores well with a nineteenth and ninth place. Together with his compatriots, Mathys finished fifth in the country rankings.
Team Denmark:
After Thomas Kjer Olsen's great victory in the first round, Team Denmark starts the day well. Mikkel also rides well in the strong field and he finishes 26th and 17th during the heat. Bastian Boegh-Damm has a poorer match, leaving Denmark tenth in the final rankings.
Next game:
The coming weeks will be particularly busy with eight Grand Prix in the period until November 10. The next race is the German Grand Prix at the Teutschenthal circuit.
Final national team rankings:
1. Italy 37 points
2. Netherlands 38 points (Van de Moosdijk)
3. Great Britain 39 points
4. Russia 44 points
5. France 50 points (Boisrame)
10. Denmark 84 points (Haarup)
