De Wolf and Everts make an impression in the sand
During the tenth Grand Prix, Tom Vialle took his fourth victory of the season. However, the most impression was made by Kay de Wolf and Liam Everts. With two fourth-place finishes, the Husqvarna rider finished third in the daily standings. The 16-year-old rider went all out and spared no one. Liam Everts made his GP debut and the KTM rider can be very proud of that. Everts did very well with a sixteenth and eleventh place. Maxime Renaux (2-3) finishes second at the Riola Sardo circuit, the Frenchman now has a 71-point lead over Mattia Guadagnini!

Despite a thirteenth training time, Vialle is the best starter and the Frenchman takes his sixth FOX Holeshot Award of this season. The KTM rider is followed by Thibault Benistant, Mattia Guadagnini, Rene Hofer and World Cup leader Renaux. In the first corner things go wrong for a number of drivers, including Ruben Fernandez and debutant Kjeld Stuurman. In the first lap Guadagnini quickly passes his rival from last season. This puts Benistant under pressure from Hofer and Renaux. Geerts is in ninth place, but the Balenian makes a mistake in the first round, causing him to lose many places. The first 20 minutes of the match were deadlocked and Vialle had built up a safe lead. Then Benistant makes a mistake and loses third place to Hofer. Renaux also rises a bit and is able to pass both KTM riders in two laps. The gap to the leader was six seconds, but the World Cup leader has set a higher pace. As a result, the connection is sought and found in the final phase. The final is very exciting and when Petr Polak manages to avoid both riders by a hair, fear runs rampant. Renaux tries again but Vialle no longer gives up the victory and wins ahead of Renaux and Guadagnini. In the last lap De Wolf passed Benistant for fourth place and the EMX250 champion finished fifth. Geerts fights back to eighth place and Van de Moosdijk takes twelfth place during his return. Everts scores very well with sixteenth place.

Once again there is a great start for Vialle now followed by Bastiaan Boegh-Damm and Guadagnini. The Italian quickly passes the Dane and opens the count on Vialle. The KTM riders collide with each other and Guadagnini falls. Boegh-Damm briefly tries to keep up with Vialle, but Vialle later takes distance and wins with a safe lead. Renaux managed to pass Boegh-Damm on the second lap, but he was unable to close the gap on Vialle. In fact, Geerts joins his teammate and he wins the duel for second place. Renaux comes third ahead of De Wolf who had a collision with Benistant. The Frenchman makes a mistake with eleven minutes to go and falls. De Wolf has nowhere to go but the Husqvarna rider returns to fourth place. That gives him a podium place, his third of the season. Jed Beaton crosses the finish line in fifth place and Van de Moosdijk scores seventh. Boegh-Damm finishes tenth ahead of Everts! The 'son of' shows that he can withstand the pressure and he again takes points with eleventh place.
Next time:
The GP season will continue in two weeks at the Teutschenthal circuit. Next week, a large number of Grand Prix riders will be in action during the Monster Energy Motocross of Nations. It will be held at the Mantova circuit where the Netherlands will defend their title.
