Cairoli had no feeling in his limbs for a while after his crash
Antonio Cairoli had to retire quickly yesterday after a crash in qualifying. He hit the ground hard and remained without feeling in his legs and arms for a few moments. Fortunately, the tide turned quickly.
Cairoli was taken to hospital for further checks and it was found that he suffered no damage from the crash. Unfortunately, he was unable to resume the match in his own country. The nine-time world champion announced only a few days ago that he would be retiring his helmet at the end of this season. He will now take a rest and try to get back on the bike as quickly as possible.
