VMCF: Mark Boot rules on the Kapelweg
Yvo Godfremont's club would have had to move heaven and earth to save their organization from the weather gods. The floodgates had opened completely in Limburg the week before and the Attenhoven circuit also did not escape the shower. It didn't matter for man in form Mark Boot because he dominated both series!
Ultimately, MC Attenhove provided a perfect circuit for which a large number of riders showed up again!
However, there was plenty of tension on the Kapelweg with Boot claiming the holeshot ahead of Karel Schepmans, Frederic Dhaenen and Dylan Mayne. Against Boot The hard circuit was no easy feat and when Karel Schepmans had mechanical problems, Dylan Mayne took over second place ahead of Matteo Puffet and Jordy Kenzeler. At the start, two top players crashed because Jonas Salaets and David Foguenne had to start the assignment last. The duo would come through the thirty-strong gang like an express train and Salaets in particular would claim a leading role. Halfway through, Mark Boot had built up a safe margin, but Dylan Mayne came under heavy pressure from his brother-in-law Matteo Puffet, Killigan Delroeux and incredible but true Jonas Salaets.
In the closing minutes the positions changed several times, but a small fall by Matteo Puffet finally gave second place to Killigan Delroeux ahead of Puffet and Jonas Salaets who had passed Dylan Mayne on the last lap. Jordy Kenzelere became the best MX2 pilot ahead of Kristof Van Vaerenbergh.
Mark Boot puts the crown on the work
In the final series another splitting holeshot for Mark Boot and the heat was immediately over. Killigan Delroeux crashed on the first lap and was eliminated from the podium. At the front, Karel Schepmans tried to keep up with leader Boot's pace, but quickly ran into problems with Matteo Puffet and Jonas Salaets. The latter in particular accelerated and easily took second place from Matteo Puffet and David Foguenne. Dylan Mayne also did not appear in the piece this time because the Husky rider dislocated his shoulder without crashing. Mark Boot was no longer threatened and thus recorded his first double victory of the season. The victories at the nationals went to the French superiority as Kevin Manege (MX1) and Clement Claisse (MX2) took the victory here.
Next weekend, the Borgloon night cross is already on the program on Friday, while the normal VMCF program is planned on Sunday.
