Tixier for Genot and Van Berkel in ADAC MX Masters
The first round of the ADAC MX Masters in Dreetz followed sporting logic. Nevertheless, front starter Cyril Genot (KTM Sarholz) offered strong resistance to ex-MX2 world champion Jordi Tixier. After five rounds, however, the realm of Pleasure was over. He finished a good 12 seconds behind his teammate.
It was still exciting for second place because Lars Van Berkel (CKK Honda MX), who had passed Gert Krestinov in the penultimate lap, started to gain momentum. Van Berkel eventually finished third. Considering the circumstances, however, an excellent result for Genot who was ill today.
Polesitter Tom Koch (Kosak KTM) missed his start but still kept Jeremy Delincé (KMP Honda Racing) from fifth place. The big absentee in Dreetz was Max nagl. The leader in the ADAC MX Masters standings had crashed during training last weekend.
