Will there be an electric dirt bike “made in Belgium”?
Last weekend it was announced that a Belgian electric motorcycle start-up was able to raise more than 1 million euros. This is necessary to start production of their motorcycles.
We are talking about the Antwerp company Trevor, which was founded by Philippe Stella and Jeroen-Vincent Nagels. They were previously consultants in the automotive industry and also worked for Saroléa, the other Belgian manufacturer of electric motors.
The two petrolheads had fun with old two-stroke dirt bikes and so the idea of building an electric dirt bike grew. Trevor was born. Because the market demands it, they first started developing a city version for short distances. A thoroughbred crosser could be added later.
The design, development and demos of the city version have now been completed and it is time for production. A Canadian investment group injected 1,1 million euros for this purpose. Trevor can also count on the support of the Flemish Government. Knowing more? Then surf to their website https://www.trevormotorcycles.com
