Michele Cervellin (JM Racing Honda) remains seated in the corner where the blows fall. After a persistent wrist injury, the 25-year-old Italian dislocated his shoulder in a fall during training this week. This immediately brings the curtain down on his MXGP season.
After examination in the hospital, it turned out that surgery was necessary. Given the severity of Cervellin's injury, the team is now looking for a replacement for the GPs. We wish Michele a speedy recovery.
Jacky Martens, team manager JM Honda Racing: “This is very unfortunate. Michele went off the track but did not fall hard. He put his hand on the ground, but apparently in the wrong way, causing his shoulder to dislocate. He will now undergo surgery, which will take a long time to recover. Unfortunately, the season has come to an end for him. This is a shame because after his wrist injury he started to ride better again.”
