MX Keiheuvel: Coldenhoff holds off Herlings!
Glenn Coldenhoff, himself a former winner at the Keiheuvel, sold his skin dearly! Despite the pressure from Jeffrey Herlings, the Monster Energy Yamaha held up well. He beats his compatriot by 1,3 seconds.
Coldenhoff took a cannon start together with Yentel Martens. While Martens quickly had to make way for the force behind him, Coldenhoff systematically extended his lead. Brian Bogers was unintentionally unlucky and had to come back from a distance after an early fall.
Jeffrey Herlings rode a calculated race, but once he had dealt with Brent Van Doninck, things went quickly. Once in Coldenhoff's wheel he also went over it quickly, but 'The Hoff' struck back and also won the final sprint! As a consolation prize, Herlings recorded the fastest lap of the race. JM Honda Racing's Henry Jacobi had a poor start, but he eventually finished 4th behind Brent Van Doninck.
The latter had, by the way, given his business card to reinforce his MX of Nations selection! Van Doninck hung in second for a long time and had to settle for third place due to a few small mistakes. Martens could also be satisfied, he achieved a nice 5th place.
