Martin wins, Lawrence makes up a point
At the Budds Creek Motocross Park, Jett Lawrence made up another (1) point on Justin Cooper. The Honda rider finished second in both heats, making him second in the race behind Jeremy Martin (3-1). Cooper (1-4) was on the podium and sees his lead in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship 250MX reduced to three points!
1st heat:
The first heat is a victory for Cooper, who started from pole position and immediately took the lead. Austin Forkner has been in second place for almost 20 minutes, but then Hunter Lawrence passes. The Australian started seventh and worked his way to second place. Martin comes third after battling Lawrence for almost ten minutes. Forkner scored well by crossing the finish line in fourth ahead of Jalek Swoll, who managed to book his first victory on the day earlier this year.
2st heat:
Martin is in charge from the first meters. The Star Racing rider is followed by Ty Masterpool and Lawrence who quickly takes over second place. Forkner follows in fourth place ahead of Hunter Lawrence and Cooper, who managed to take the first heat to his advantage. There is no one who can match Martin who distances himself without much problem and manages to break away from 'Jettson' for almost ten seconds. Hunter takes third place and thus helps his brother because Cooper comes fourth. Forkner completes the top five this moto.
Next time:
Three more competitions to go and they will now be held every weekend. The tenth race of the series of twelve will be next Saturday at the Crawfordsville circuit.
