Kevin Fors makes his presence felt in Tessenderlo
Last weekend the VJMO and MCLB were guests at the Tessenderlo circuit. With almost thirty international players at the start, we could immediately expect a full starting gate! In the first series it was Wietse Brackman who started the match best. The Leon Sagaert by Xavier Beel Husqvarna pilot was in the lead for a long time, but could not hold this position when Kevin Fors came up.
Kevin Fors on his Reytec Husqvarna passed Wietse Brackman with about half a race to go and would not relinquish the lead in this first series. Wietse Brackman finished in second position and in third place we found Tallon Verhelst. The top five was completed in the first heat by Jonas Salaets and David Segers.
In the second moto we saw Kevin Fors dominate the race from lead to finish and the man from Liège, who has also felt at home in Flanders for a long time, took both motos. In this second heat, second place again went to Wietse Brackman and this time third place went to David Segers. This time we found Tallon Verhelst in fourth place and Jonas Salaets in fifth place.
Both of Kevin Fors' series victories also resulted in the Reytec Husqvarna pilot taking overall victory in the International 500cc class. This for Wietse Brackman and Tallon Verhelst. In the International 250cc, the overall victory went to wildcard pilot Jordy Kenzeler, ahead of Jérôme Biets and Kristof Van Vaerenbergh. The laurel wreath for victory in the “Inters B” class went to Jens Van Laere, who had Yann Meulemeester and Emilio Vannieuwenhuyze next to him on the podium.
