The Someren municipal council continues to support MAC Lierop
The well-known circuit Herselse bosen in Lierop received opposition from some local residents in 2013. The reason given was the lack of the necessary permits, which meant that MAC Lierop actually used an illegal circuit.
Three years ago, the highest administrative court ruled that MAC Lierop may organize motocross training and four national competitions per year. The municipal council of Someren also wants to continue to support the club. There is now a proposal on the table to grant the club a credit of 40.000 euros.
That budget must serve to pay for the various (expensive) research reports needed for the new zoning plan for De Herselse bos. Click here to read the full article from the Eindhovens Dagblad.
