EMX65: Danish double for Dex Van Den Broek
At the beginning of this month, Dex Van Den Broek won bronze with Team Netherlands at the Youth World Championships. This time it was an individual hit! The 10-year-old MC driver from Deurne was clearly the best in both EMX65 heats in Sonderborg.
In the first round of the EMX65 North-West qualifying series, two Dutchmen were on the podium. Jenairo Beerens finished second after Van Den Broek in both heats. On Saturday, Dex had also set the fastest time. The Finn Viktor Leppälä (3-4) came third.
KTM Belgium rider Torre Van Mechgelen (photo above) finished seventh (10-5) just after Kay Zijlstra (8-6). Torre had a poorer start in the 1st series, but came back strongly from 22nd place. Chento Van Zoest also immediately scored a top-10 with a 9th and 13th place in the heats.
