“The chances of winning the world title were kept alive.”
To everyone's surprise, Jeffrey Herlings was back at the start in Lommel. And no one could have missed that because the KTM rider drove the tiles off the roof. The Brabander came second behind Romain Febvre, here the 26-year-old rider tells his story after an intensive day at the Stedelijk Motocross Center Lommel. Despite not scoring during three heats, 'The Bullet' is now fifth in the standings, just 42 points behind the leader!
Jeffrey Herlings:
“I had signed up for these results in advance. In the first moto Febvre had a good pace and together we ran away from the rest. I was still able to accelerate and managed to win the heat. In the second moto Coldenhoff and I came into contact with each other and we both fell. I came back to fifth place but then it happened and the arm started to play tricks. We kept the world title chances alive. We are 42 points behind, which is obviously not where we want to be, but I am more than satisfied with today.”
