Broken leg for Hakon Osterhagen, title fight open again?
After two clear victories in the European 125cc Championship, it looked like Hakon Osterhagen would take the title. Earlier this month, the Norwegian also won the FIM Junior 125cc World Championship in Greece. However, yesterday during a training in Italy, fate struck. The Fantic rider fell and broke his lower leg! An operation was immediately undergone and now we have to wait and see when Osterhagen can return to action.
The EMX125 will not continue until the first weekend of October. Whether the leader in the standings has recovered sufficiently to take action again remains to be seen! Osterhagen is now 23 points ahead of Valerio Lata and Kay Karssemakers is only four points behind the Italian.
