Who the f@ck is Tristan Young?
Hopefully you won't blame us, but the above title was the first thing that came to mind to introduce our new enduro editor Tristan. Tristan Young is a 24-year-old content creator, seasoned in enduro, who is gradually becoming internationally known.
Actually, you can call Tristan our neighbor from across the water. He comes from Cornwall, in the far south-west of England. After starting as a trials rider at the age of 10, he first switched to motocross and then enduro at the age of 16.
Young competed in the British Enduro Championship where he performed well. However, since a serious knee injury, he has left the competition behind. Nowadays he experiences his passion for off-road driving in a different way.
After retiring from the army, he mainly focused on creating digital content, media consulting about enduro, and above all, he is - to be honest - a very good rider who likes nothing more than to go out on the enduro or mountain bike together with friends. FastJeff - that's his nickname - rides a KTM 250 EXC-F.
If he can also take nice photos and videos about his experiences at the same time, the day can't be ruined! As his first assignment for mxmag, Tristan went to Spain where he built the new 2022 Husqvarna FE350 and put Husqvarna FC350 through its paces. He also got the chance to taste the Jarvis Signature Tour experience in Malaga. Riding with hard enduro legend Graham Jarvis and testing two new Husqvarnas, talk about a nice baptism of fire!
