Jeffrey Herlings dominates In Rozoy
The MX Masterkids have been considered the largest international youth competition in Europe for some time now. An interesting Intercompetition was also organized for this edition, just across the Belgian-French border in Rozoy-sur-Serre. Top star Jeffrey Herlings was the logical winner ahead of Yamaha duo Milko Potisek and Maxime Desprey.
First of all, Herlings had gone to France as an extra surprise for the young riders. In addition to his meet-and-greet, 'The Bullet' also took part in the Inters race. For the occasion he had to compete against a strong French delegation supplemented with some Belgian riders.
Multiple French champion Xavier Boog, 33 meanwhile, surprised the KTM factory rider in the muddy first moto! Boogie beat Herlings by 0,6 seconds. Yentel Martens, completely back after his serious knee injury last autumn, finished fourth. In the second moto Jeffrey was able to narrowly hold off Boog's GSM Dafy Michelin teammate, Maxime Desprey. Ken De Dycker achieved his best result of the day with eighth place.
Although the track was now drier, the riders also had to make do with one dry track in the third series. This time, however, Herlings won easily ahead of Enduropale superstar Milko Potisek and David Herbreteau (737 Performance GasGas).
