Dean Gregoire wins the MX Master Kids again
Dean Gregoire has triumphed for the third time during the MX Masterkids. Despite problems with his knee, the 10-year-old rider managed to win the Class E, 85cc riders between 9 and 12 years old. The Brabander previously managed to claim the overall victory twice. With this third victory, the Alpinestars-clad crosser establishes itself among big names; Christophe Pourcel, Ken Roczen and Jeffrey Herlings also won this event several times. Team Holland also won the country classification in Rozoy-sur Serre in Northern France.
In recent weeks there was little training with the motorcycle, but all the more in the gym. At TopSupport, the KTM rider received intensive guidance to reduce knee problems. This went very well and that is why it was decided at the last minute to travel to France. With success because the student took the victory. The Team Youth Pro MX rider won the qualifying races and came second in the final showdown. The student made a big impression in that final. The start was good but in the first lap things went a bit wrong. On a slippery stretch, Dean made a pirouette that dropped him back to 15th place. He then worked his way forward in a controlled manner and was noticed by the announcer. This attracted the 5.000 strong audience and they followed Dean around the entire circuit. In the final phase it will be exciting because second place is needed to take the overall victory. The second man gives everything but in the last corner Dean does it impossible. He chooses a special line that takes over second place! He scored the most points and was honored on the podium. In addition, four-time world champion Herlings was present and he congratulated Team Holland on their victory.
FIM Junior World Championship:
There is more good news to report because Dean has been included in Team NL by the KNMV for the FIM Junior World Championship. Together with Dex van den Broek, Dean will hunt for the world title in Greece on July 31 and August 1.
KNMV ONK Axel:
Last Sunday a KNMV ONK competition was also held. This took place on the RES Axel circuit. Harry Dale won the first moto but had a problem during the second moto. The Briton finished eighth, but the KTM rider still finished second in the overall standings. He remains the leader in the standings. Chento van Zoest managed to get on the podium in the first round with a neat third place. The Limburger now occupies sixth place in the standings.
