De Waal only scores one match due to a foot injury
After his victory in Oss, Micha Boy de Waal was looking forward to the third EMX Open match in Loket. On Wednesday something went wrong during training. The Husqvarna rider got his foot trapped under his motorcycle. The result was a black and blue foot, which meant the pain had to be alleviated over the weekend. He succeeded in the first round in Loket, but later in the afternoon he crashed hard and had to leave the race early.
Micha Boy de Waal: “I didn't feel very good on the track, but I was able to move forward well and still managed to cross the finish line in second place. In the second moto my start was much better, but in the waves I lost control of the bike and crashed hard. Afterwards I tried to continue driving to get as many points as possible. The lap times were good but I was just in too much pain so I left the race.”
