De Dycker fourth again, Spies wins
By crossing the finish line in fourth place in both heats, Ken de Dycker finished fourth during the EMX 2 Stroke at the Lommel circuit. The victory went to Fantic thanks to Max Spies, the raining ADAC Youngster Cup champion managed to win both heats with the support of Federico Tuani who fell in the second heat as leader. Brad Anderson (photo) comes second today with a third and second place ahead of the very disappointed Tuani (2-3). Rene Boer is the best Dutchman, he finished sixth today.

Spies gets off to a good start from pole, but it is teammate Tuani who comes out of the first corner as the leader. Liam Hanstrom follows in third place and he passes the German. When the second laps are almost complete, leader Tuani makes a mistake, allowing the Swede to briefly take over the lead. Spies wastes no time and takes the lead two corners later. Tuani can follow the first fifteen minutes of the race, but then Spies takes distance and wins the first heat. Tuani crosses the finish line in second place, ten seconds behind the winner. Anderson has not started the match well, but he is working his way forward in a controlled manner. After more than ten minutes of competition, 39-year-old Anderson passes the fast starter Hanstrom for third place. The duo in the lead is then already out of the picture. The reigning champion takes third place ahead of De Dycker! The guest rider managed to join the leading group in the initial phase, but later the lack of competition rhythm surfaced. Ben Putman completes the top five because Hanstom gave too much in the initial phase and therefore drops back to sixth place. This is followed by a group of Lowlanders with Husqvarna rider Boer as the best man, he finished seventh ahead of Wedage and Jaap Janssen. With tenth place, Dieter Vromans is the second Belgian in the top ten. Krijn van Vroenhoven (11th), Karl Timmerman (12th), Twan Wagenaar (13th), Ilja Rutten (15th), Jamie Lucas (17th), Michel Otten (19th) and Kevin Kieft (20th) are also in the points.

When the starting gate for the second heat drops, Anderson is well away and takes the lead ahead of Wedage, Hanstrom, Boer and Tuani. The 17-year-old Spies quickly works his way forward, but at the end of the first round he chokes. Due to the crash, he falls back and has to play catch-up. Anderson, winner of the MX2009 GP in Markelo in 3, is able to hold the lead for the first half, but then Tuani arrives. The Fantic rider takes the lead and breaks away from his pursuers. Spies comes back and seems to take a safe second place. Anderson thinks differently about this because he comes back in the final phase. As a result, Spies has to keep the pace high and they both catch up to leader Tuani. He still has a safe lead going into the last lap, but he falls himself! Spies therefore wins the second round ahead of Anderson, Tuani, De Dycker and Boer. Janssen now takes seventh place, while Wedage (9th), Van Vroenhoven (10th), Wagenaar (11th), Timmerman (13th), Vromans (14th), Rutten (15th), Lucas (16th), Poland (19th) and Kevin Kieft Get (20th) points.
