Barcia records his first victory with GasGas
At the Spring Creek Motocross Park, Justin Barcia won his first 'National' with GasGas. With a first and second place, Barcia took the most points in Millville. Eli Tomac (3-4) finished second ahead of Dylan Ferrandis (2-5). The Star Racing rider is doing good business in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. Ken Roczen does not finish the first heat but does win the second heat. Yet the difference has increased to 32 points!

The best start in this first heat goes to Barcia followed by Adam Cianciarulo. In the first corner things go wrong for Roczen, the German crashes and is run over by Chase Sexton and Joey Savatgy. The 27-year-old rider leaves the race early to be examined at the Alpinestars Medical Center. Barcia has the game under control at the front and when Cianciarulo makes a mistake he gets a little more space. Ferrandis has other plans and the Frenchman is closing the gap to join the numbers. It's going to be intense because both riders aren't afraid of a little action. The Yamaha rider tries left and right but 'BamBam' doesn't budge. This duel brings Tomac back and the trio fights for victory during this heat. When the checkered flag falls it is Barcia ahead of Ferrandis and Tomac. Christian Craig takes fourth place ahead of teammate Aaron Plessinger.

Barcia also managed to win the Motorsport.com Holeshot Award in the second round. The 29-year-old rider is followed by Justin Bogle, Cooper Webb and Savatgy. Roczen now gets through the first corner well, but he quickly improves from fifth place to second place. Not much later, the Honda rider takes the lead just before completing the first lap. Roczen quickly has a large lead, but then Barcia stays at the same distance for about 20 minutes. After that he seems to opt for second place and the day's victory. Sexton crosses the finish line in third place ahead of Tomac, who did not get into his rhythm during 'his' second heat. Ferrandis fell in the first round and was hit by Aaron Plessinger and Marvin Musquin. The leader in the standings can continue and he manages to fight back to fifth place!
