Improve your technique with the Christian Burnham Vintage MX Schools
Under the motto “you are never too old to learn”, a new initiative has been created to give vintage motocross riders the opportunity to sharpen their technique on the motorcycle. Ex GP rider Christian Burnham comes up with this great idea and organizes a training day specifically for vintage cross-country racers.
Christian Burnham is a man who has a lot of experience riding in the GPs of the 90s and just after the turn of the century. At the time he was a member of the Sarholz Honda Team and won the German Championship several times. In the most recent edition (2019) of the Vets MXdN in Farleigh Castle, he delivered no fewer than four holeshots. In a earlier article from our colleagues at MXVintage you can read everything about the sympathetic English Belgian.
Burnham will organize a day of lessons on Tuesday, July 27 (from 13 p.m. to 18 p.m.) at the famous Hélécine circuit. This lesson day is exclusively for pilots with a dirt bike built before 1995. In order to provide everyone with sufficient individual guidance, the number of places will be limited. After the day of training, each pilot receives an individual report by e-mail with the main points of interest.
What will you be presented with on this lesson day?
- Correct body position
- General bike set-up
- Taking turns
- Taking starts
- The jumps
- A generally better and safer feeling on the motorcycle
