Michele Cervellin misses two more GPs
Michele Cervellin will not be in action during the Grand Prix of England and Italy (Maggiora). The Italian from JM Racing Honda has problems with an old wrist injury that continues to flare up. The injury requires some extra time, so the Italian has decided to miss the upcoming match. Cervellin expects to be able to appear behind the starting gate again during the Dutch Grand Prix.
team owner Jacky Martens: “Michele is recovering from an old injury. That is of course a very annoying situation because it caused him to miss the start of the world championship. He is working hard on his recovery, but unfortunately the Grand Prix's of England and Italy are still too early for him. We don't want him to return until he is completely fit. The MXGP class is currently so strong that you have to have everything right if you want to score well in it. That is why we have decided to wait a little longer so that he can soon return to the competition in a good way."
Michele Cervellin: "It's a shame that I will miss the start of the MXGP World Championship due to this injury. For now it is important to make a full recovery before returning to competitions. We are working hard to get back as soon as possible. The feeling with the team is very good and together with them I would like to build up to my old level in the competitions!''
