Team TLD-Red Bull-GasGas about the grand final
The famed team at Troy Lee Designs made the switch from KTM to GasGas last fall. The team was strengthened with Justin Barcia who made a great debut and won the first match of the season. In the final standings, 'BamBam' finished fourth and here he talks about Salt Lake City 2 with his teammates Pierce Brown and Michael Mosiman.
Justin Barcia:
“I felt good all day, I felt comfortable on the bike and on the track. Then seventh place during the final is of course not the best way to end the championship. It was a solid year, I finished fourth after seventeen races with a win. Next year we will have to make some improvements, but for the first Supercross season with the team I enjoyed it. However, we want to show more in the next season, but first we will focus on the Pro Nationals!”
Pierce Brown:
“It was a good day for me. However, I didn't have the start I needed to compete for the prizes. I was fighting the entire race to get a free lane, but I couldn't. I think I was in fifth place for a while, but I was unable to hold on to it. I'm happy to have finished the season injury free and I'm looking forward to the Pro Nationals. We still have some time to prepare, but I'm looking forward to it and I'll definitely be ready.”
Michael Mosiman:
“What a way to end the Supercross season. It went well, but I had a pretty bad crash yesterday (Friday) during press day. I was a bit tense because I doubted whether I could drive. Fortunately, the heat race went well, but I could not continue this line in the final. I had a good start but got pinned down on the first lap and was then shot off like a slingshot. After that I fought to get back, but with the best riders from both coasts it was not easy. We can look ahead and start fresh with the outdoors.”
