Orange sends out sons and daughter!
In the absence of competition in their own country, riders have to work on their rhythm elsewhere. For Lotte Van Drunen (Beurspro KTM) this means a qualifying race for the Italian 85cc championship this weekend. Kay De Wolf will complete his first race of the season in Uddevalla, Sweden.
De Wolf is not the only Dutch rider in Scandinavia. Dave Kooiker (Hutten Metaal Yamaha) will also take part in Uddevalla. Kooiker already got a taste of competition this season as he took part in the International Italian Championship in Alghero.
The Swedes can prepare themselves for a great battle. Because De Wolf's teammate Jed Beaton, Rene Hofer, Somin Längenfelder, Isak Gifting, Liam Everts, Tim Edberg, Andrea Bonacorsi, Jeremy Sydow and Cornelius Toendel will also make an appearance on the famous GP track this weekend. You can watch the matches live on the internet both tomorrow and on Sunday.
The opponents are no strangers to De Wolf and co. For Lotte van Drunen it remains to be seen how far she can go against the Italian 85cc force. Initially, the 13-year-old top talent wants to qualify this weekend in Cremona for the semi-finals next month. If everything goes according to plan, three final matches are scheduled for her.
Lotte is not the only Dutch rider in Italy. Dean Gregoire and his KTM will also be at the start in Cremona this weekend, as will Jannes Vos, Chento van Zoest, Yuel Karnebeek, Jayson van Drunen and Dion Brakke.
