MX2 Uddevalla: Podium Liam Everts, overall victory Rene Hofer
This time everts had a great start, but the young Red Bull KTM rider Rene Hofer immediately took the lead. The Austrian top talent wasted no time and dominated the muddy second heat, just as Kay De Wolf had preceded him in heat one. Although 'Liamski' hung third for a long time, he still beat Simon Längenfelder in the final phase.
A small mistake in the fourth corner put De Wolf in trouble. Afterwards he crashed several more times, but Kay still finished 4th. In the daily rankings, 'the Red Hurricane' narrowly lost to Hofer, who had finished third in series one.
Liam Everts was the best lowlander in the revival. Not only did he start well, but he also kept a tight pace. De Wolf repeatedly tried to steal third place from Everts. However, the Husqvarna factory rider paid for some mistakes in cash and now had to settle for P4. Three laps before the end, Liam still had enough reserves to tackle Längenfelder!
For Jed Beaton, the second series was also one to quickly forget. The likeable Aussie fell early in the race and would ultimately only finish 11th. Dave Kooiker, a good 10th in the opener, now crossed the line in 22nd.
