KTM drops 2022 enduro line
After Husqvarna's 'neighbours', KTM is releasing its 2022 enduros onto the world. In this case too, it concerns subtle improvements rather than earth-shattering novelties. The 2022 volume, especially the SIX DAYS edition, looks very sleek!
Although factory rider Josep Garcia returns to EnduroGP, KTM promotes its enduro bikes as 'ready for all extremes'. Under this heading, the two-stroke and four-stroke models received some interesting updates.
Four-stroke models
Just like Husqvarna, the WP XPLOR fork has been refined for a more responsive feel, even on the toughest terrain. In particular, the improved oil circulation should ensure more consistent feedback. For 2022, all models will be equipped with Maxxis brand new MaxxEnduro tires. During extensive testing, this new rubber proved to be more durable and resistant to punctures, according to KTM.
The line-up once again consists of four four-stroke models: the 250 EXC-F, 450 EXC-F, 350 EXC-F and EXC-F 500. The reliable and torquey EXC-F models have been able to count on a loyal audience for years. In that list, the KTM 350 EXC-F occupies a privileged position due to its versatility. The 350 combines the handling of the KTM 250 EXC-F with the power of the 450 EXC-F.
Two-stroke models
In 2018, KTM caused a stir in enduroland. After that first generation of two-stroke enduro engines with injection, the Austrian manufacturer continued to refine the concept. Thanks to the TPI (Transfer Port Injection), the two-stroke engines (150 EXC TPI, the 250 EXC TPI and the 300 EXC TPI) can count on a very modern feeling. The KTM 300 EXC TPI is the flagship for hard enduro work, but the 2022 KTM 250 EXC TPI has also been overhauled. Just like the Husqvarna TE 250i, the final drive has been revised to 13:52. This makes the quarter liter more powerful at low speeds. This is certainly a change that we are very curious about!
In terms of look, MY2022 refers to the typical blue elements that we also see on the factory machines of Manuel Lettenbichler and JosepGarcia. In our opinion, the blue saddle certainly adds a nice touch. Of course, the new KTMs also pride themselves on their complete 'Ready to Race' equipment. We find, among other things, Brembo brake and clutch levers, Brembo brake discs and calipers, Neken handlebars, ODI grips, and Giant rims.
From this month you can go to the official KTM dealers for these new 2022 enduros.
