JM Honda Racing wants to surprise!
JM Racing Honda looks back on a positive winter period. With the new rider duo Henry Jacobi & Michele Cervellin and the proven Honda CRF450F, the Belgian MXGP team is aiming for a strong 2021.
In recent months, JM Racing Honda has mainly focused on maintaining the condition and adjustment work for the riders. Now that the date of the first GP in Russia (June 13) has been announced, the intensity is being increased in view of the start of the Motocross World Championship.
“We have had a very good winter. The new Honda CRF450 produces truly astonishing results and riders are very pleased with it. We have two good drivers in Henry Jacobi and Michele Cervellin and I expect that we can take a good step forward with them. It will be a long season as there are still races on the calendar in December, but we are ready and looking forward to the moment when the starting gate will fall again,” says team owner Jacky Martens.
“The feeling within the team is very good and there is a perfect click. Last year I looked up to the big names of the MXGP class too much and I want to take a big step in that direction this year. I want to take the fight to them and then we'll see where we end up. It's great to have an experienced person like Jacky by my side. He has already put me in the right direction with the engine setup and that gives me a lot of confidence,” says Henry Jacobi.
“The season is getting closer and I'm really looking forward to the starting gate dropping again. I feel very good within the team and I am confident that we can make great progress together. I started motorcycle training a little later due to a minor wrist injury, but we still have time until the first Grand Prix. In the coming period we will train a lot with the bike so that we are ready,” says Michele Cervellin.
