Drama in France, Vincent Seiler in critical condition
What was supposed to be a nice dress rehearsal two weeks before the first round of the French championship turned out to be a nightmare for everyone involved today in Mâcon (Burgundy)…
The experienced Swiss Vincent Seiler (29) - last year 9th in the Swiss Inters Open championship - had a heavy fall early in the match on a double in the first round. The race was stopped after three laps.
After the first concerns on the circuit, Seiler was transferred to Edoard-Herriot hospital in Lyon.
❗️Update 23:19❗️
Contrary to our previous information - based on reports from local French media and riders on site - Vincent Seiler is still alive but his condition is extremely critical. He is currently fighting for his life in the hospital. MXMag wishes his wife Kim, the rest of his family and friends a lot of strength.
It would be inappropriate, given the circumstances, to pay much further attention to this practice canter. However, the fact that MX1 vice champion Maxime Desprey is already in good shape was evident from his superiority. In two weeks the French Elite Championship, the 24MX Tour, will start in Ernée.
