The VLM about the restart of motocross
The chance that there will be motocross competitions again is becoming more realistic every day. With the announced relaxations under certain conditions, it seems that early July will be the time when the engines will start revving again.
It is therefore “full house” behind the scenes of the organizers and federations to ensure that everything runs smoothly. We received the following from the VLM:
If 6 in 10 adults have had their first vaccine, a favorable trend in hospitalizations is noticeable and with a target threshold of 500 COVID beds in intensive care. We will restart the calendar from July 1, 2021, so that the first competition will be that of Tessenderlo on July 3 and 4. The organizer will have to apply for/submit the necessary permits to the municipality, and VLM/JMS will arrange the permits with the province and insurance broker. Together, the organizer and VLM/JMS, we will also provide the necessary precautions due to the corona pandemic.
The riders will have to obtain their 2021 permit before the start of the first race. Due to the corona progress, we will start the season with pre-registration.
This pre-registration can be achieved via the website www.vlmcross.be or via the Moto Inside app. Please note that it is only possible to participate in the competitions via this pre-registration. Do not think that we are submitting this pre-registration to force you to obtain a recording permit or the like. We need this so that we are not faced with any surprises at the start of our matches, and therefore have to start the remaining season in chaos.
That is why I would like to ask you to respect these rules, thus giving us the opportunity to start a new and corona-free event in all order and satisfaction.
