BV98Ride for Bas Vaessen
Unfortunately, we cannot 'really' help Bas Vaessen immediately after his serious crash in England. Nevertheless, Nelissen Training Facility would like to do something for him to stay 'motivated' together with the people around him. On Sunday May 23 we will be cycling for Bas! We start at 10:30 am from the Nobis in Asten where we have plotted a route of 98 km. During this ride we also pass through Bas's hometown of Swalmen. It is possible to start from Asten and you can also join the route elsewhere.
In addition to this longer route, we have also plotted a short route of 9.8 km where everyone can decide for themselves how many laps they complete. In addition to cycling, it is also possible to complete this 'short' route on foot. There are no costs/revenues associated with this bike ride and we do it purely out of compassion/support and of course to show that we are there for each other in bad times. Being there when someone really needs it!
If you are a real athlete/MX rider, make sure you are there on Sunday, May 23 at 10:30 am. Register via email/DM and you will receive the route and can load it on your cycle computer. We have a 'Stop & Go point' on the route to keep energy levels up.
