Webb looks back on an important victory in Atlanta
After his poor performance, Cooper Webb managed to bounce back well during Atlanta3. The KTM rider managed to catch up with rival Ken Roczen in the final phase of the race and took an important victory. Marvin Musquin did not get further than ninth place, both look back on the past weekend here.
Cooper Webb:
“I have to give all the credit to my team, they gave me the engine that allowed me to win tonight. After the previous race we adjusted the setting, but this required a lot of work. The result is good but my riding wasn't that good tonight. I made too many mistakes that allowed Kenny to distance himself. When I saw that he made a mistake, I did everything I could to take the victory. I had to go very deep but I succeeded and the maximum score was mine!”
Marvin Musquin:
“It was a very difficult circuit, the speed was super high and I lost too much time in the 'whoops'. In my heat race I was doing well until I crashed and only finished ninth. This gave me a poor starting position, but I still got a reasonable start. I was in seventh place but I was riding all alone. In the second half of the race I lost my rhythm and lost two more places in the final phase to once again cross the finish line in ninth.”
