VIDEO: MX World part 5 with Rene Hofer
The fifth episode of the “MX World” series produced by Red Bull is dedicated to Rene Hofer. The 17-year-old Austrian is used by KTM in the MX2 World Championship. Hofer previously completed a spectacular track in the youth categories and was subsequently offered a seat with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team.
However, Austria is not a motocross country like Belgium. The only world champion from the Alpine country was Heinz Kinigadner, who won a world title in the 1984cc class in both 1985 and 250. Of course he did that on a KTM. The brand is based in Austria, so the inclusion of a fellow countryman creates special expectations. Can Rene Hofer follow in the footsteps of his illustrious predecessor?
