Salt Lake City: Nichols vs. Craig
After 70 days, the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship 250SX East Coast continues. The title fight will be between Colt Nichols and Christian Craig. That means a duel between the two Star Racing teammates. In the standings, 27-year-old Nichols is only eight points ahead of 29-year-old Craig. With three wins, Nichols is the most successful this season, Craig won two games and the same goes for Jett Lawrence. The Australian is no longer a contender for the title, but he can still finish third in the final standings. The Honda rider must make up ten points on former teammate Jo Shimoda.
It will happen tonight at Rice-Eccles Stadium where the Shoot-Out will be held next week. Nichols will do everything he can to go into this final with a big lead. The last time Yamaha won the EastCoast was in 2002, when Chad Reed won the title with Team Yamaha of Troy.
