Rockstar Energy-Husqvarna Racing on Atlanta3
The fifteenth round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship did not go well for the Rockstar Energy-Husqvarna Factory Racing Team. Dean Wilson finished eighth while Jalek Swoll did slightly better in sixth place on the 250SX. Former champion Jason Anderson was fast but had some problems in the final. Stilez Robertson hurt his knee and left the final early.
Jason Anderson:
“My day was actually good until the final. I was fastest in the time training and I also managed to win the heat. The start of the final was good but I was hit in the first lap and fell. After that it was about surviving and trying to fight back as far as possible. The starting field is very strong so it was not easy. We scored a handful of points. All in all it was a positive day and I will make sure that I can score in Salt Lake City next week and maybe win another match.”
Dean Wilson:
“My day went well, in fact this is the best score of the season. The start in the final was not flawless, but fortunately I was able to quickly get into my rhythm and make up places. I was in seventh place battling with Ferrandis. He was stronger, so I crossed the finish line in eighth place. It was a fun battle but the final phase needs to improve. We still have two games left, I'm really looking forward to those games and I'm ready to keep improving.”
Jalek Swoll:
“It was a mediocre day, I rode well for a while but not the entire race. Going into the last lap I felt good. Sixth place is good, but of course I want more. The match in Salt Lake City will be tough but I'm looking forward to it. I am ready to finish the final well and then we will focus on the Nationals.”
Stilez Robertson:
“The final was a complete chaos, there was a crash and I got involved in that. I immediately felt the pain in my knee but I still wanted to try in the restart. I just didn't feel strong and unstable, so I went to Alpinestars Mobile Medical Unit. The knee took a hit but nothing seems to be broken so hopefully we will be back behind the starting gate soon.”
