Musquin and Webb about their double in SLC
The first of the two races at Rice-Eccles Stadium went very well for the Red Bull KTM Factory Team USA. Marvin Musquin won the final ahead of teammate Cooper Webb. In doing so, Webb took a big step toward his second 450SX title! Both look back on their match here.
Marvin Musquin:
“I can't believe it now, I'm at the top of the podium. I've had some problems this season, my goal is to come back and keep getting better. There are so many good riders, so the start is super important and I just tried to be consistent. The 'whoops' remain difficult but I am very proud of this competition. I gave it everything today.”
Cooper Webb:
“I didn't have a good start tonight and that broke me down in the final phase. The whoops were super difficult, later in the match it got better and better and I was able to attack better and better. I thought I was in a good position but Marvin kept taking the advantage there. The points were the most important today, but you want to win especially when you are so close. We will try to win that next weekend!”
