Mitch Evans' injury was worse than expected
In his first MXGP season, Mitch Evans managed to impress several times. The first GP on the Matterly Basin circuit was very good, but things went wrong in Valkenswaard. Then corona hit really hard, allowing the shoulder injury to heal. Things went wrong again during the Spanish GP, the Honda rider broke his wrist there.
During a conversation with Adam Wheeler, the 22-year-old rider says that the injury was worse than expected. After the crash, an operation followed in Milan. Later, Evans returned to his native Australia, where he underwent further surgery. Tim Gajser's teammate underwent a three-hour procedure. After five months, Evans is now on the Honda, so postponing the first Grand Prix certainly does not suit him badly.
