The last chance for Jed Beaton
In 2021, Jed Beaton will go for his last chance in the FIM MX2 World Championship. The 23-year-old rider must switch to the MXGP in 2022 due to the age limit that applies in the Grand Prix. The Australian will have to compete against defending champion Tom Vialle and Jago Geerts who wants revenge after losing the title in 2020. Beaton will again compete for the Rockstar Energy-Husqvarna Factory Racing Team run by born Dutch Limburger Kay Hennekens. Kay de Wolf became his immediate teammate after Thomas Kjer Olsen switched to IceOne Racing.
Will Beaton manage to write history as Australia has never won the world title! With Chad Reed, Andrew McFarlane and Jeff Leisk they were close, but they have not yet been able to deliver the champion.
