Barcia satisfied despite missing podium
Last weekend, Justin Barcia was stitched up before the final to finish the race in tenth. There was some doubt whether 'BamBam' would start during Atlanta2. The GasGas driver was there and managed to cross the finish line in fifth place. Here, Barcia and his teammate Pierce Brown look back on the last midweek game of the season.
Justin Barcia:
“It was a difficult day to start with, I still had some discomfort after the crash last weekend. So I'm very happy that I was able to ride today. I started well in the final, but I couldn't hold on to third place. Webb came on strong in the final phase, but I managed to stay in control of him. It felt good to finish strong, but I definitely want to be on the podium next Saturday and fight for the win.”
Pierce Brown:
“We are slowly but surely getting back into the right shape. However, after the red flag I couldn't find my flow. I got off to a bad start and could only chase. Eighth place despite a crash is not special, but certainly the maximum today. I'm hungry for more this Saturday.”
