Ruffini wins, Osterhagen champion, Smulders fifth
The third and final race of the Internazionali d'Italia Motocross 125cc was won by Luca Ruffini. The GasGas driver managed to win at the Mantova circuit with a first and second place. It became a complete Italian podium thanks to Andrea Rossi (4-1) and Andrea Viano (2-5). Hakon Osterhagen, winner of the previous competitions, finished fourth in the daily rankings, but he did secure the title. The top five was completed by Scott Smulders, the BT Racing rider finished ninth and third during the 20-minute, two-lap heats.
Danny van den Bosse also took action, the Motor2000 rider (15-25) finished nineteenth in the daily rankings. Bradley Mesters (37-22) finished neatly 29th overall.
