Liqui Moly with Betamotor in the MXGP
When the Italian Beta, known for its enduro and trials motorcycles, starts in its first MXGP, it will have a loyal partner at its side: LIQUI MOLY. The oil and additives specialist is the official lubricants supplier of Jeremy Van Horebeek and Beta-SDM Corse.
“If you want to compete at the top, you have to be able to rely on the technology working reliably even under extreme loads – this also applies to the oil,” says Daniele Marchese, manager of the BETA-SDM CORSE MX TEAM. That's why LIQUI MOLY 4T Synth 10W-50 Offroad Race uses for its bikes, a fully synthetic oil especially for sporting use on the circuit.
In the first season, the Beta MXGP factory team opted for the experienced Belgian Jeremy van Horebeek and the young Frenchman Jimmy Clochet. The first GP is scheduled for May in the Netherlands. However, in preparation for the World Cup, the team takes part in the Internazionali d'Italia where 'the Jerre' impressed with his new engine.
Beta engine and LIQUI MOLY have had a business relationship for many years. Since 2014, all engines are supplied from the factory with oil from LIQUI MOLY. Moreover, it supports LIQUI MOLY the Betamotor factory teams in the Trial-GP and the Enduro-GP. In 2020, Betamotor won the constructors' classification for the fifth time in a row and Steve Holcombe and Brad Freeman became world champions in E2 and E3.
LIQUI MOLY is not only present on the field, but also on the circuit. The company supplies, without any exception, all teams in the Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships with the correct engine oil. In addition to engine oil LIQUI MOLY also fork oils, additives, brake fluids, chain spray, cleaning agents and even leather care products. A complete chemical range especially for motorcycles. “We can take maximum advantage of this,” says Daniele Marchese happily. “Everything from one source and perfectly coordinated.”
