Cooper Webb takes the three in a row
Without a doubt, Cooper Webb is the man in form. The KTM rider also won the third event at Arlington's AT&T Stadium. During the twelfth round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, Ken Roczen finished second ahead of Eli Tomac. With five games to go, Webb now has a 15-point lead over his German rival. With 41 points behind, Tomac seems to be eliminated from the title battle.
In the final, Justin Barcia seems to get the best start, but he goes wide in the first corner. This allows Roczen to slip in and he takes the 'Holeshot Award' ahead of Webb and Tomac. There is then a nice battle between Tomac and Barcia for third place. The GasGas driver does not avoid contact, but Tomac does not let himself be fooled and returns to third place. Despite this duel, he still has Webb within reach and it is a nice battle at the front. Webb follows the leader like a shadow and when the stragglers come he increases the pressure. Max Anstie gets in the way for a moment, causing the KTM rider to lose some time. According to him he comes back and then it's an immediate hit, Webb attacks and takes over the lead. Roczen has no answer and has to be satisfied with second place ahead of Tomac and Barcia. The top five is completed by Jason Anderson.
The next match will have to wait a while, the championship will continue in Atlanta on April 10.
