Webb wins again, Roczen next to the podium
The second match in Orlando was also won by Cooper Webb. The KTM rider won the final after a nice duel with Adam Cianciarulo. However, the Kawasaki rider made a mistake, allowing Marvin Musquin to complete KTM's success. Justin Barcia caused a party in Austria, the GasGas rider crossed the finish line in third. Ken Roczen drives a great race and finishes fourth. However, the German sees his lead drop to just six points!
A very good start for Barcia, he takes the best start ahead of Cianciarulo who quickly takes the lead. Justin Bogle follows in third place ahead of Musquin and Vince Friese. Webb follows in seventh place while Roczen is included in the backfield and has to work hard to fight his way to the front. Cianciarulo distances himself from Barcia who is passed by Webb in the second lap. The former champion manages to connect with Cianciarulo, who loses the lead after ten minutes. Musquin also joins the Kawasaki rider who defends himself, but a mistake in the 'whoops' throws a spanner in the works. Musquin comes second ahead of Barcia, who is closely followed by Roczen. The 26-year-old Honda rider is very strong, but driving 'BamBam' off the podium is not an option. Jason Anderson completes the top five.
No competition next weekend, the championship continues in Daytona on March 6.
