Four in a row for Star Racing-Yamaha?
After seven races for the 'Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship East-Coast', the West Coast will also start their series this weekend. We look ahead to the championship with a wide starting field. Can Star Racing-Yamaha win the title for the fourth year in a row? It is certain that after Dylan Ferrandis twice, a new SX champion will emerge in 2021.
The list of participants for the first match in the Camping World Stadium promises very well. Jeremy Martin, Justin Cooper and 'rookie' Jarrett Frye will keep the colors of Star Racing high. From these 'Three Js' we expect 'JMart' and Cooper to participate in the title battle. Not only Yamaha is deploying three riders, but Kawasaki has also put together a trio. Cameron McAdoo, Jordon Smith and rookie Seth Hammaker form Team Pro Circuit-Kawasaki-Monster Energy.
While Jett Lawrence has already won two matches, this will be a little more difficult for Hunter Lawrence. The Australian mainly tries to stay fit to start the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. We don't expect great things from the former GP rider, a podium place would be the maximum.
No factory KTM in this championship, but with two Husqvarnas and a GasGas, 'Austria' is also clearly present here. Jalek Swoll and Stilez Robertson make up the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Team. Pierce Brown is part of the TLD-GasGas-Red Bull Team and will try to make his mark in the WestCoast. We are watching four European drivers with extra interest. The Swiss Xylian Ramella, the German Dominique Thury and the French Cedric Soubeyras and Calvin Fonvieille will seek their fortune in the USA.
