Tomorrow Beta will debut in Riola Sardo.
The race on the island of Sardinia is the opener of the 2021 international motocross season. This opening race will have a special touch in Italy because Beta and its Factory Team will be on display for the first time.
Actually it is a second debut for Beta because they also made an attempt in 1973. This lasted until 1983, when it devoted all its resources to Enduro sport. Last year in June, the “radio paddock” was all about rumors that Beta would build dirt bikes again. In fact, they would immediately go to the MXGP with a team. And so it happened. The young Frenchman Jimmy Clochet and our compatriot Jeremy Van Horebeek were recruited to form a team for the MXGP World Championship.
Tomorrow both gentlemen will be seen for the first time in Riola Sardo on their Beta RX450. Not much is known about these machines yet, but as soon as we have more details you can read it here. It goes without saying that the Enduros were the model for these riders from around Florence. The factory team led by Daniele Marchese is officially called “BETA-SDM CORSE MX TEAM” and is trying to score top ten places in the World Championship this year, with some outliers towards the top five.
Are you curious how they will do tomorrow in Riola Sardo? You can watch the match live from 13:15 PM via this link.
