Mairis Pumpurs remains a Yamaha rider
Mairis Pumpurs gained international fame due to his victory in Assen during the bLU cRU Superfinal. He was included in Yamaha's EMX125cc team where he was the teammate of Kay Karssemakers and Ivano van Erp. A serious knee injury threw a spanner in the Latvian's life.
Pumpurs will now switch to the 250cc class and compete for the Kristera Serģa Motoklubs. He will also be supported by Yamaha Latvia, Kristers Sergis and Riku Vaahtera. Pumpurs hopes to be able to compete in a large number of EMX250 races.
