Geerts, Prado and Febvre win in Italy
On the sand circuit of Riola Sardo, Jago Geerts (MX2), Jorge Prado (MX1) and Romain Febvre (Elite) won the first race of the Internazionali d'Italia Motocross. Geerts won the MX2 race ahead of Nicholas Lapucci and Tim Edberg. Jens Walvoort, the other Laaglander next to Geerts, crossed the finish line in 31st place. Prado won the MX1 race ahead of Glenn Coldenhoff and rookie Thomas Kjer Olsen. Jeremy Vanhorebeek crossed the finish line in fourth place. In the Elite final, Febvre became the winner, the Dane Kjer Olsen now came second ahead of Coldenhoff who made his debut on the Yamaha.
