GasGas MX2 factory team chooses Shot
Shot Race Gear is proud to announce a new multi-year partnership with DIGA Procross GASGAS Factory Racing MX2. The ambitious, young German team from Cologne will compete against the established names with driving duo Isak Gifting (20) and Simon Längenfelder (16).
In their third full World Championship season - the first at GASGAS - team manager Justin Amian set some new milestones. GP rookie Längenfelder started strong on the MC2020 in 250: he rode to his first top-5 World Championship series, reached the top-10 in a GP final standings and took a well-deserved podium during the Czech championship round of Dalečín.
Although the season of the German top talent ended prematurely due to an injury, substitute Isak Gifting surprisingly put himself in the spotlight in the second half of the MX2 world championship. The multiple Swedish champion made the transition from the EMX250 to the GPs seemingly effortlessly. Isak recorded several top-5 finishes in the final standings and finished second in the final round of Lommel III.
Isaac Gifting: “As a rider, I mainly pay attention to three aspects for my motocross clothing: they must be light, thin and flexible. As soon as you put on the Shot Aerolite pants, you will feel that they are super comfortable and fit well thanks to the stretch fabric. That's exactly what I want! You are not hindered in any way so you are completely free to go for it. I am honored to now be part of the Shot family.”
Simon Langenfelder: “It's cool to start the season with a new look. The style of our new equipment is really cool! But I especially think it's great when motocross clothing makes you better on the motorcycle. The Shot Aerolite shirts are super light and breathable which makes a huge difference in warm conditions. Personally, I like that you feel as much as possible what is happening with the engine. Thin layers of fabric and lightweight materials allow you to fully focus on driving.”
Ghislain Huot, CEO Shot Race Gear: “We are very excited to be competing in the MX2 World Championship with DIGA Procross GASGAS Factory Racing. Moreover, we also have a lot in common: our passion for motocross and performance and organizations are both built on a close, family bond. From their riding and their enthusiasm you can see how much competition means to Simon, Isak and the whole team. It's great to share this beautiful adventure with such a talented and professional group of people.”
Justin Amian, team manager DIGA Procross GASGAS Factory Racing MX2: “Since we started with our own team, we have always worked hard to reach a higher level every season. Pursuing those goals together with partners who have the same vision is the best motivation for everyone in our team! We are proud to represent a brand as well-known and successful as Shot Race Gear. When we stand behind the starting gate for the first GP in Oss, we will be sure to have the best performing and tightest setup at the start.”
